JUST WHO IS THE FUNSLINGER?

Way out in Canada's far West lives a wild, wacky, western comedy magician they call The Funslinger.  Originally from England, he found his creative inspiration in the Old West and the traveling magicians who toured the cattle and mining towns of North America between 1850 and 1890.

The Funslinger describes his magical style as Magic Goes West, a zany off-the-the-wall approach which satirizes magicians.  While you may laugh as he plays fast and loose with the traditions of magic, every now and then he does something which has a kick in the head like a mule.

The Funslinger  aka Clive Court, toured the English-speaking world as The Casual Cowboy Conjurer and his travels as a TV entertainer took him to Australia, New Zealand and the United States before settling in Canada.  He earned his master's degree in Television at Syracuse University in New York State where he also worked for PBS.

In Canada, not exactly cultural magnet for magicians, he has learned to be more versatile becoming an educator, writer, lobbyist, and broadcast consultant. While these activities take up an increasing amount of his time, he always prefers to return to his first love... making people laugh as The Funslinger-- magical entertainer and emcee-- as he says, "Have Fun, Will Travel!"
